A. K. Khamar Rahaman is an enthusiastic woman working in the field of rural development from past 14 years. She is a very hard working, committed to her work. Her thematic concern is working with women. She in her long spell has done quite a wonderful work, which has been appreciated by government as well as NGO sectors. She is at present taken the responsibility as STATE PROGRAMME DIRECTOR FOR VJMS and STATE DOMWUA GROUP PRESEDENT FOR AP MINORITY WOMEN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION.
For her credibility she is the one who has formed 5000 plus women Self-Help Groups in 12 districts of which 1000 are exclusively minority Self Help Groups. She has lobbied with different Banks as well as Minority Development Corporation for the economical development of these groups. She under her capacity has formed 5 Mutual Aided Co-operative Societies in 7 districts which is functioning very well at this movement.
One cannot forget to mention about her folk skill, she is very good folk song writer and singer by herself. With her troop she has given uncountable programme to support the literacy, AIDS, Family Planning, Thrift and Credit, Child labour, Superstitious believes, Watershed development, Janma Bhoomi, and Velugu programmes. |
